I'm going to do one more contest here before taking a break from them as I'll be pretty busy the next few months. Anyone have any ideas? I would like to do something that would attract more members or at least create more activity on this forum. Anyone got any good ideas?

Anyone?
Perhaps I could just do a simple drawing and you guys could help me advertise it and this site around on the web.
Or, if anyone wants to, they could donate a coin or coins to create a nice prize package that might be more incentive for people to join here and enter the contest. I currently have a 1914-S Barber half to giveaway.

Adam, I dont know of any contest that brought in new members who stayed with us. When this forum had 80 members, we only had 5 that posted often, we now have well over 200 now, and still only see a handfull that post often. Good Luck with your contest. Kingpin

Actually, I think advertising my contests got Clembo's attention, and reminded Treashunt that we existed  Grin which made holding the contests well worth it to me.

Actually I have been giving this some thought Adam as I have been thinking of running a contest. Just been a bit busy so here's an idea we could use more than once.

A refer a friend type contest with no time limit actually. Up to the person that holds the contest.

For example. I refer a friend and they have to post at least 10 times for ME to qualify. They would have to announce who referred them in Introductions.

Sure some might not stay as Kingpin noted but I have stuck around. An added bonus would be bringing in people you already know and respect.

You got me here. I joined a few forums because of Bonedigger and just signed up for a Canadian copper site due to my buddy Snaz in Canada.

Sure, it would be a lot of work for one contest but could bring in some fresh blood. When I need a break I come to sites like this one. May not get as many responses as CT but I also don't get a bunch of stupid responses.

Good points, and good ideas Clembo. I might just use that idea. It will probably require a little longer of a time period thanI usually use, so I might hold off a while before I start it because I'm really busy right now. Waiting to start it might also give me some time to pick up another prize to sweeten the pot so to speak.

Here's a good one design your own coin contest.
You  have to design the obverse of the coin and the reverse.
Whoever you think   should be on the obverse of the coin ,it could be a famous rockstar anybody you think that deserves there  place  on the obverse.

The reverse has to be in relationship with the individual that's on the obverse.
I have designed some coins myself.

This can be a very interesting  contest and the judges will pick the best design of that persons coin
