Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter

Product Details
The Chickasaw National Recreation Area quarter is the fifth released in 2011 and the 10th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program and released into circulation on November 14, 2011.  The reverse image depicts the Lincoln Bridge, built of limestone and dedicated in 1909 to celebrate the centennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth. The bridge is the first constructed improvement in the national recreation area and a favorite scenic spot. Inscriptions are CHICKASAW, OKLAHOMA, 2011 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.  The reverse was designed by AIP Master Designer Donna Weaver and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Jim Licaretz.

Summary: Never heard of this place but nice coin
July 6th, 2011
I have never heard of this place, and did not know such a place existed in Oklahoma. So I guess from that point of view, the coin did what it was supposed to do. I looked it up. Anyway, nice design

Summary: Too much flat space
February 3rd, 2011
I think there is too much flat space in this coin. While not bad in general, I think it could be better by filling in the flat space with more design.

Summary: ducks, woods and a stream makes a winner
February 3rd, 2011

Admittedly, I am not familiar with this park.  But I like this design.  Ducks/geese flying over a stream and old brick bridge is a nice setting.  Mix in all the trees and you have a nice coin design.
