Indiana State Quarter

The Indiana quarter was the fourth quarter of 2002. Indiana was admitted to the Union on December 11th, 1816 and was the nineteenth state.
The design of teh Indiana quarter features the image of a racecar superimposed on an outline of the state with the inscription "Crossroads of America." The design also includes 19 stars signifying Indiana as the 19th state admitted into the Union.

Being somewhat into racing, I really like this quarter, and would probably say it's my favorite.
The fact that there is an Indy car on the coin is great. Many of the other states have peaches or corn or unchanging items that will still be going strong 40 years from now. When you look at the Indy car on this coin, who knows what they will look like in 40 years.
To me, that helps add some history and timing to the coin that may be, if nothing else, interesting in 100 years.
