The Kansas quarter was the fourth quarter released in 2005. On January 29, 1861, the "Sunflower State" became the 34th state to be admitted into the Union.
The Kansas quarter features a buffalo and sunflower which represent the state animal and state flower.

This is one ugly buffalo. It just looks wrong. I do not like this design at all

While I like Buffalo's on coins, this design does not work for me. I would have liked to see more on the design
